In 6M/2021, Vietnam’s total electricity supply reached x billion kWh, an increase of x% over the same period in 2020.
• Domestically produced electricity: The domestically produced electricity output reached x billion kWh, accounting for x% of the total domestic electricity supply. In which, electricity produced by Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and Power Generation Corporations (including joint stock companies) reached x billion kWh, accounting for x% of the electricity production of the whole system. Particularly, the power output of power plants owned by EVN with 100% capital (excluding EVNGENCO3 and joint stock companies) reached x billion kWh, accounting for x%.
• Imported electricity: Imported electricity output reached x million kWh, accounting for x% of total power supply.
Coal and hydroelectricity are the two main sources of mobilization in 6M/2021. Currently, there are six sources of electricity mobilization in Vietnam, namely coal-fired power, hydroelectricity, gas thermal power, renewable energy (including wind power, solar power, biomass power), oil thermal power and imported electricity. In which, coal-fired thermal power is the main mobilized source, hydroelectricity and gas-fired thermal power alternately hold the second position, depending on the hydrological situation and the price of imported gas.
