The Health Sector is increasingly receiving great attention worldwide. Viet Nam’s health care has been invested in the past few years, including the state budget spent on health care, and the expansion of the number of health workers training centers. Vietnam’s population has been increasing steadily over the years but is showing the aging of the population. The number of doctors per 10,000 population is expected by the Ministry of Health to reach 10 doctors by 2020. However, according to VIRAC, this figure is difficult to achieve. The number of public hospitals has not changed much. The outbreak of major diseases in 2014 led to higher health expenditure this year, along with hospital overcrowding. Fluctuations in foreign exchange rates such as EUR, USD and CNY came from the political crisis which has had a great impact on the Vietnamese health care.
