The Electronic Component Industry is an supporting industry that provides details to assembly complete products, which plays an important role in the development of the Electronics industry. The total value of manufacturing electronic components all over the world was estimated to increase 7.1% compared to 2017 and was growing at an annual pace of 14.6% between 2012 and 2018. Manufacturing electronic products, computers and optical prpducts rose 11.3% in comparision with 2017.

Vietnam’s supporting industry and manufacturing component industry has not developed because they require a huge amount of investment capital. In 2017, the Government has issued 68/QĐ-TTg decree about developing supporting industry program from 2016 to 2025 in order to implement the program strictly, which will be considerred as a premise for processing and manufacturing industries. Vietnam is on the way to be the factory producing and assembling components for many electronic companies such as Samsung, LG, Canon, Toshiba.
According to Vuetnam’s industrial project to 2020, the vision of 2030 provides a target of enhancing the value of electronics and information industries.
